Dr. Saboor Rashid

Dr. Rashid has been a practicing emergency medicine physician for the past seven years. He has worked in more than 18 emergency departments, from small rural centers to major Metropolitan trauma centers. He has extensive experience in emergency Medicine. He has taught medical students in emergency medicine for more than six years. Dr. Rashid is trained in advanced emergency medical procedures and is proficient in ultrasonography. Dr. Rashid is also trained as a family physician and was chief resident of his residency. Combining the two, Dr. Rashid can provide both emergency care as well as long-term and preventative care. He is able to take care of all ages including newborns to geriatric patients. Dr. Rashid is board certified, and is willing to take care of you and your family for any complaints.

Medicare Annual Wellness Visits

At Primary Care of Kansas we are here to support your health and well-being at every age and stage — not just when you are sick. Regular checkups with your physician will help you stay healthy. That’s why most health insurance plans pay for yearly checkups.

Yearly Checkups and Medicare Annual Wellness Visits

Different insurance plans called the yearly checkup different names. You may hear the terms well-check, annual visit or preventive care visit.
Medicare calls the yearly checkup an Annual Wellness Visit (AWV).
At your yearly checkup, you and your physician work together to create a personalized plan to keep you healthy.

Cost of a Yearly Checkup

Most health insurance plans pay for a yearly checkup. However, you should contact your insurance company to find out what they will cover. For example, Medicare and some insurance companies will only pay for yearly checkups if you schedule them at least one year apart.

Combination Checkup and Problem Visits

You might choose to talk about a new or existing health problem at your yearly checkup so that you don’t have to make another appointment. Even though it’s one appointment, Primary Care of Kansas has to bill for your yearly checkup and your health problem visit separately by law. When this happens, you may have to pay for the visit differently, depending on your insurance coverage.

Billing & Payments

PCOK collects patient co-pays and outstanding balances at the time of service. Payments can also be made online by logging on to the Patient Portal by visiting www.urgentcareofkansas.com or by contacting the Office at  (913) 259-7155, Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm.
